The firing temperature of the German and French bodies in our product range is in the range of 1200-1250 ºC; accordingly, they are considered as soft porcelain (vitreous china). The masses are made up of kaolin and feldspar. These are less suitable for freehand forming – the usual forming method is working into or onto a model on a wheel. If products are also produced by casting and plastic forming alike in a product family, particular attention must be paid to selecting casting body that befits the plastic body.
